Our Story
Pasture-Raised. Vertically Integrated. Structurally Superior.
Industrial "free-range" sheds run up to 10,000 birds per hectare. They turn paddocks into bare dirt. We do things differently.
We run a strict maximum of 300 to 500 birds per hectare.
Our custom-built mobile sheds are towed to fresh Victorian pasture every three to seven days. If the hens stay put, the ground degrades. So we move them.
Moving the flock breaks parasite lifecycles. It guarantees the hens a diverse daily diet of deep-rooted perennials, legumes, and insects. This is what creates the strong albumen and deep yolk colour that holds its shape in a rolling boil.
Once grazed, we lock the paddock up and rest it for 45 to 60 days. This rebuilds the soil microbiology. Sunlight grows the pasture. Hens forage and distribute manure. The soil breaks it down. The pasture recovers stronger.
